
Welcome to the Botswana High Commission in Australia.
Botswana opened its diplomatic mission in Australia in February 2003, marking the strong bonds of friendship and bilateral cooperation that exists between the two countries.
The High Commission is not only accredited to Australia but also to New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Samoa, and plays a critical role in facilitating the establishment of diplomatic relations with other like minded countries in the Pacific.
MISSION
The Botswana High Commission in Canberra exists to build, manage and advance Botswana’s foreign relations with Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Region. The High Commission is committed to effectively cultivating and nourishing cooperative relations as well as providing relevant services to its clients and stakeholders with utmost integrity and efficiency.

To expand Botswana’s presence, scope of international relations and interactions on a diplomatic level with various strategic areas in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Region.

CHANCERY PROJECT
In March 2004, the High Commission embarked on a major project to build its Chancery in Canberra, Australia. The new Chancery was officially opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Honourable Phandu T.C.
